Overdose deaths: the case for honesty

At least ten Pennsylvanians die every day from a drug overdose. Governor Tom Wolf has declared the opioid epidemic a statewide disaster emergency. The opioid crisis is affecting the rich and poor. It’s claiming the lives of the young and old. Parents who have lost children to the epidemic say there is still stigma attached to opioid addiction, which can be a barrier to treatment. They’re hoping to decrease that stigma by sharing their stories.
