Community Food Project: Public meeting presented by the York County Food Alliance

WHO: York County Food Alliance
WHAT: The public and media are invited to attend the first general meeting of the YorkCounty Food Alliance. The meeting is free – no registration required.
The purpose of the meeting is to:
- Showcase organizations and initiatives that currently support local farming and promote access to fresh and healthy food options for York County residents.
- Introduce the York County Food Alliance’s recommendations for creating a healthy community where everyone has access tofood produced in ways that protect and strengthen our environment and local economy.
- Provide the community with an opportunity to provide feedback and network in small groups that address: Agricultural Advocacy, Community and School Gardens, Farm-to-Institution, Healthy Food Environment and Healthy Food Access.
